Today I caught myself thinking about making room for grief on an ordinary day. Some days I can take a useful next step, while on other days simply acknowledging it feels like progress. Healing does not follow a schedule, and difficult moments can return without erasing progress. If you relate, what is one thing you wish others knew about the experience?

I have been paying closer attention to handling an anniversary that feels heavy this week. What I need seems to change with my energy, surroundings, and how supported I feel. Healing does not follow a schedule, and difficult moments can return without erasing progress. Has anyone found a small, repeatable response that makes the next hour easier?

It took me a while to name it, but I am dealing with accepting that recovery is not linear. Some days I can take a useful next step, while on other days simply acknowledging it feels like progress. Healing does not follow a schedule, and difficult moments can return without erasing progress. I am especially interested in approaches that still work on imperfect days.
