Does anyone else relate to setting a boundary before I am exhausted?

It took me a while to name it, but I am dealing with setting a boundary before I am exhausted. I am learning that a response can be worthwhile even when it does not change everything at once. Rest can be part of responding to overload, not a reward that has to be earned. Has anyone found a small, repeatable response that makes the next hour easier?

One thing that has helped me is deciding in advance which task is allowed to wait. I keep the goal deliberately small so it feels supportive rather than like another obligation.

Thank you for naming setting a boundary before I am exhausted. The details may differ for each person, but your post made me feel less alone in it.

I relate to the part about setting a boundary before I am exhausted. What usually tells you that you need comfort, practical help, or simply some space?
