What has helped you with recovering after an overloaded week?

This has been on my mind lately: recovering after an overloaded week. I am learning that a response can be worthwhile even when it does not change everything at once. Rest can be part of responding to overload, not a reward that has to be earned. If you relate, what is one thing you wish others knew about the experience?

I appreciate the honesty here. It is encouraging to see people leave room for different needs, different timelines, and imperfect progress.

Sometimes I tell one trusted person exactly what would help—listening, company, or a quick check-in later. Being specific takes away some of the guesswork.

My experience has been uneven too. I started noting what happened just before a difficult moment, and over time a few useful patterns became visible.

That is a helpful question. I call a step manageable when I can begin it without needing to feel completely ready first.
