Would anyone share their experience of setting a boundary before I am exhausted?

I wanted to write honestly about setting a boundary before I am exhausted. I am trying to notice what helps without turning recovery into another test I have to pass. Rest can be part of responding to overload, not a reward that has to be earned. Has anyone found a small, repeatable response that makes the next hour easier?

I relate to the part about setting a boundary before I am exhausted. What usually tells you that you need comfort, practical help, or simply some space?

One thing that has helped me is deciding in advance which task is allowed to wait. I keep the goal deliberately small so it feels supportive rather than like another obligation.

My experience has been uneven too. I started noting what happened just before a difficult moment, and over time a few useful patterns became visible.
