How do you respond when facing recovering after an overloaded week?

It took me a while to name it, but I am dealing with recovering after an overloaded week. I am learning that a response can be worthwhile even when it does not change everything at once. Rest can be part of responding to overload, not a reward that has to be earned. Has anyone found a small, repeatable response that makes the next hour easier?

I relate to the part about recovering after an overloaded week. What usually tells you that you need comfort, practical help, or simply some space?

Thank you for naming recovering after an overloaded week. The details may differ for each person, but your post made me feel less alone in it.

I appreciate the honesty here. It is encouraging to see people leave room for different needs, different timelines, and imperfect progress.

One thing that has helped me is deciding in advance which task is allowed to wait. I keep the goal deliberately small so it feels supportive rather than like another obligation.
