How I am rethinking letting rest count even when I do not sleep

It took me a while to name it, but I am dealing with letting rest count even when I do not sleep. I am trying to notice what helps without turning recovery into another test I have to pass. I am trying to treat rest as useful even when sleep itself does not cooperate. Gentle suggestions and personal experiences are both welcome.

That is a helpful question. I call a step manageable when I can begin it without needing to feel completely ready first.

Sometimes I tell one trusted person exactly what would help—listening, company, or a quick check-in later. Being specific takes away some of the guesswork.

I appreciate the honesty here. It is encouraging to see people leave room for different needs, different timelines, and imperfect progress.
