Could use a gentle perspective on letting a good moment be enough

Today I caught myself thinking about letting a good moment be enough. What I need seems to change with my energy, surroundings, and how supported I feel. I do not want to dismiss a good moment merely because harder feelings still exist beside it. I would appreciate hearing what this has looked like in real life for other people.

Thank you for naming letting a good moment be enough. The details may differ for each person, but your post made me feel less alone in it.

That is a helpful question. I call a step manageable when I can begin it without needing to feel completely ready first.

Sometimes I tell one trusted person exactly what would help—listening, company, or a quick check-in later. Being specific takes away some of the guesswork.

I appreciate the honesty here. It is encouraging to see people leave room for different needs, different timelines, and imperfect progress.
