A recent moment brought up recognizing one small sign of progress for me. Some days I can take a useful next step, while on other days simply acknowledging it feels like progress. Low energy can change what counts as a realistic and meaningful accomplishment. I would appreciate hearing what this has looked like in real life for other people.

That is a helpful question. I call a step manageable when I can begin it without needing to feel completely ready first.

My experience has been uneven too. I started noting what happened just before a difficult moment, and over time a few useful patterns became visible.

I relate to the part about recognizing one small sign of progress. What usually tells you that you need comfort, practical help, or simply some space?

Sometimes I tell one trusted person exactly what would help—listening, company, or a quick check-in later. Being specific takes away some of the guesswork.
