What I wish I understood about resting without feeling guilty

Today I caught myself thinking about resting without feeling guilty. I am learning that a response can be worthwhile even when it does not change everything at once. Rest can be part of responding to overload, not a reward that has to be earned. I am especially interested in approaches that still work on imperfect days.

My experience has been uneven too. I started noting what happened just before a difficult moment, and over time a few useful patterns became visible.

One thing that has helped me is deciding in advance which task is allowed to wait. I keep the goal deliberately small so it feels supportive rather than like another obligation.
