What I wish I understood about letting rest count even when I do not sleep

Today I caught myself thinking about letting rest count even when I do not sleep. I am trying to notice what helps without turning recovery into another test I have to pass. I am trying to treat rest as useful even when sleep itself does not cooperate. What helped you feel understood rather than rushed toward a solution?

One thing that has helped me is making the hour before bed quieter without demanding that I fall asleep. I keep the goal deliberately small so it feels supportive rather than like another obligation.

Thank you for naming letting rest count even when I do not sleep. The details may differ for each person, but your post made me feel less alone in it.

I relate to the part about letting rest count even when I do not sleep. What usually tells you that you need comfort, practical help, or simply some space?
