An honest moment about using a short breathing pause

I have been paying closer attention to using a short breathing pause this week. I am trying to notice what helps without turning recovery into another test I have to pass. For me, being present means returning gently, not holding perfect concentration. If you relate, what is one thing you wish others knew about the experience?

Thank you for naming using a short breathing pause. The details may differ for each person, but your post made me feel less alone in it.

I appreciate the honesty here. It is encouraging to see people leave room for different needs, different timelines, and imperfect progress.

One thing that has helped me is noticing three physical sensations and letting my attention settle there. I keep the goal deliberately small so it feels supportive rather than like another obligation.
