Trying not to judge myself for eating regularly during stressful days

This has been on my mind lately: eating regularly during stressful days. I would like to approach it with more curiosity and less pressure than I have in the past. I am trying to listen to my body as information rather than treating it like a project to control. I am especially interested in approaches that still work on imperfect days.

My experience has been uneven too. I started noting what happened just before a difficult moment, and over time a few useful patterns became visible.

One thing that has helped me is choosing movement based on how I want to feel afterward. I keep the goal deliberately small so it feels supportive rather than like another obligation.

Thank you for naming eating regularly during stressful days. The details may differ for each person, but your post made me feel less alone in it.

That is a helpful question. I call a step manageable when I can begin it without needing to feel completely ready first.

I relate to the part about eating regularly during stressful days. What usually tells you that you need comfort, practical help, or simply some space?

Sometimes I tell one trusted person exactly what would help—listening, company, or a quick check-in later. Being specific takes away some of the guesswork.

I appreciate the honesty here. It is encouraging to see people leave room for different needs, different timelines, and imperfect progress.
