Trying not to judge myself for keeping a simple gratitude practice

This has been on my mind lately: keeping a simple gratitude practice. What I need seems to change with my energy, surroundings, and how supported I feel. I do not want to dismiss a good moment merely because harder feelings still exist beside it. Gentle suggestions and personal experiences are both welcome.

I relate to the part about keeping a simple gratitude practice. What usually tells you that you need comfort, practical help, or simply some space?

One thing that has helped me is recording one specific moment I want to remember from the day. I keep the goal deliberately small so it feels supportive rather than like another obligation.

My experience has been uneven too. I started noting what happened just before a difficult moment, and over time a few useful patterns became visible.
