Would anyone share their experience of celebrating progress that nobody else sees?

I wanted to write honestly about celebrating progress that nobody else sees. Some days I can take a useful next step, while on other days simply acknowledging it feels like progress. I do not want to dismiss a good moment merely because harder feelings still exist beside it. What helped you feel understood rather than rushed toward a solution?

My experience has been uneven too. I started noting what happened just before a difficult moment, and over time a few useful patterns became visible.

One thing that has helped me is recording one specific moment I want to remember from the day. I keep the goal deliberately small so it feels supportive rather than like another obligation.

Thank you for naming celebrating progress that nobody else sees. The details may differ for each person, but your post made me feel less alone in it.

That is a helpful question. I call a step manageable when I can begin it without needing to feel completely ready first.

I relate to the part about celebrating progress that nobody else sees. What usually tells you that you need comfort, practical help, or simply some space?

Sometimes I tell one trusted person exactly what would helpβ€”listening, company, or a quick check-in later. Being specific takes away some of the guesswork.

I appreciate the honesty here. It is encouraging to see people leave room for different needs, different timelines, and imperfect progress.
