Would anyone share their experience of finding flow in a familiar hobby?

I wanted to write honestly about finding flow in a familiar hobby. I would like to approach it with more curiosity and less pressure than I have in the past. Enjoyment becomes easier when the activity does not have to prove anything about my ability. I would appreciate hearing what this has looked like in real life for other people.

My experience has been uneven too. I started noting what happened just before a difficult moment, and over time a few useful patterns became visible.

One thing that has helped me is giving myself permission to make an unfinished or imperfect version. I keep the goal deliberately small so it feels supportive rather than like another obligation.
