A tiny bit of progress with a memory arriving without warning

It took me a while to name it, but I am dealing with a memory arriving without warning. Some days I can take a useful next step, while on other days simply acknowledging it feels like progress. Healing does not follow a schedule, and difficult moments can return without erasing progress. I am especially interested in approaches that still work on imperfect days.

I appreciate the honesty here. It is encouraging to see people leave room for different needs, different timelines, and imperfect progress.

That is a helpful question. I call a step manageable when I can begin it without needing to feel completely ready first.

Thank you for naming a memory arriving without warning. The details may differ for each person, but your post made me feel less alone in it.
