Looking for realistic ideas about asking for company on a difficult day

I wanted to write honestly about asking for company on a difficult day. Some days I can take a useful next step, while on other days simply acknowledging it feels like progress. Low energy can change what counts as a realistic and meaningful accomplishment. What helped you feel understood rather than rushed toward a solution?

My experience has been uneven too. I started noting what happened just before a difficult moment, and over time a few useful patterns became visible.

I relate to the part about asking for company on a difficult day. What usually tells you that you need comfort, practical help, or simply some space?

Sometimes I tell one trusted person exactly what would help—listening, company, or a quick check-in later. Being specific takes away some of the guesswork.
